Rebekah Valentine

The Department of Special Collections is thrilled to announce the recent hire of Rebekah Valentine who joins us as the project lead for Senator Dianne Feinstein’s papers on February 26th.

After her undergraduate degree, Rebekah became interested in historical records while serving with the Preservation Alliance of West Virginia as an AmeriCorps member to preserve local West Virginia history. Then, while obtaining her MLIS from the University of Maryland, she did two internships; the first at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum and the second for Senator Patrick Leahy’s office. This latter internship led to a two-year assistant archivist position in Senator Leahy’s office prior to beginning work as the archivist for Senator Feinstein in 2022.

Rebekah has extensive first-hand experience having served as Senator Feinstein’s archivist for the past eighteen months. The collection will be in great hands, and we are excited to get started. The Feinstein team will report directly to the Assistant Director for Special Collections and work closely with colleagues across the libraries. Please join us in welcoming Rebekah Valentine to Stanford Libraries!
