The Director’s office is welcoming Huey-Ning Tan in the role of Administrator to the Chief of Staff and Budget Officer. Huey-Ning will be supporting SUL Facilities; SUL’s Chief of Staff, Mimi Calter; and SUL’s Budget Officer, Susan Horsfall; and will be assisting with both grant processing and reporting. Huey-Ning comes to the Director’s office from the Visual Resources Center. We’re very happy to have her aboard!

Please join us for a tour of the Stanford Stories from the Archives exhibit currently on display in Green Library. Daniel Hartwig, University Archivist, will lead the tours and explain how and why the objects were chosen to help celebrate the 125th Anniversary of Stanford University.
Joshua Capitanio joined the East Asia Library as Public Services Librarian. In addition to coordinating public service activities, he is responsible for collecting Western languages publications on East Asian. Josh earned his M.A. degree in Chinese from the University of California, Los Angeles, and Ph.D. in East Asian Languages and Civilizations from the University of Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining SUL, he was an associate professor in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of the West. He also taught courses at California State University, Long Beach, and San Francisco State University. With knowledge in several languages including modern and classical Chinese, Tibetan, French, Japanese, and Sanskrit, Josh has been actively publishing in the history of Chinese religions. Josh's office is Room 253, East Asia Library. Please join me in welcoming Josh to Stanford.
