Barbara Krupa presenting Archives of Zygmunt Haupt

I’m extremely pleased to announce that Barbara Krupa has accepted the position of Newspaper Digitization Project Manager. Working closely with Collection Development managers and many others across the Stanford University Libraries (SUL) and Hoover, the Newspaper Digitization Project Manager will serve as SUL’s primary point of contact with East View, who will carry out the digitization of SUL’s historical newspaper collections. The focus of the project involves newspaper holdings that are housed in two storage facilities, the Newark warehouse and SAL3 [Stanford Auxiliary Library-3], plus complementary newspaper holdings held by the Hoover Institution Archives and Library, and their replacement by digital surrogates. The Project Manager will be the logistical liaison with the vendor and with other SUL units that are responsible for processing, packing, and shipping of these materials.

SUL Rosette

On Dec. 5, University IT introduced the Stanford Services Portal, your new location for getting IT support. For now, the portal replaces HelpSU for IT requests only. In the future, more services will make their way into the portal and it will become your single online destination for help, support, and solutions for all types of services across campus.

Pamela Gomez

Pamela C. Gomez is our new Circulation & Collection Processing Specialist! She will be doing circulation and course reserves, she'll receive new serials, monographs and gifts, and will process bindery and repairs and provide basic reference help to patrons. That’s a lot! This position is a combination of one previously held by Carlin Otto (recently retired) and part of Tamar Ravid's position which changed to primarily maps.
