Elga's role in the library

I have been working in Stanford University Libraries since February 2001, first as Library Specialist III in Metadata Department Classification Unit.

I am supporting the Curator for Slavic and Eastern European Collections in collection development. I am responsible for maintaining and developing the Foreign Exchange Program with 30 University, Research and National Libraries in 16 Eastern and Central European countries.

Before coming to Stanford I was working as a Research Associate In University of Latvia, Institute of History; Executive Director of the History Comission of Latvia and the Advisor on History Issues to the President of Latvia.
