Thib Guicherd-Callin is the Program Manager of the LOCKSS Program at Stanford University Libraries. From humble beginnings as a software engineering intern to his current role, he has dedicated his career to the success of distributed digital preservation methodologies championed by the LOCKSS Program. Thib's depth of technical knowledge and breadth of experience comes from his fiften-year history with the LOCKSS Program, which includes the inception of the CLOCKSS Archive, the rise of private LOCKSS networks, the advent of LAAWS (LOCKSS Architected as Web Services), and more. A native of the French Alps, he holds degrees in computer science from the University of California, Santa Cruz and Stanford University.
