Vivian N Wong

Associate Director for Infrastructure Engineering

I lead a team of talented, geographically disbursed software engineers who build and maintain the Stanford Digital Repository, which stores and handles hundreds of terabytes of library and research data. Together with SDR, I also oversee the development of the thriving Linked Data infrastructure in support of projects such as Sinopia and RIALTO. My team and I collaborate closely with other DLSS colleagues in initiating and enhancing the department-wide engineering process.

More about me

I enjoy managing engineering talent with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and performance, always putting customers first. Prior to joining Stanford, I led development teams that built software for the highly scalable and efficient SaaS environments, delivering robust products for the consumer TV and embedded markets.

Given my passion for producing customer-focused solutions, I'm committed to broadening Stanford's engagement with its communities and look forward to driving the development in the related projects.
