Digital humanities specialists offer project support and electronic access to humanities texts for research and teaching.

Digital humanities support

Digital humanities specialists use computers and digital information to support humanities scholarship. They work with faculty and students to:

  • Identify technical approaches, processes and tools
  • Evaluate and integrate new software tools
  • Design new applications for use in the humanities
  • Provide access to humanities data for researchers

Example projects include use of spatial analytical tools to study historic change, text mining to discover literary trends, databases to track demography or artifacts, and study of video games to better explore complex dynamic phenomena.
