Access and circulation
The Robin Li and Melissa Ma Science Library is open to the Stanford community. For a more comprehensive list of what we offer at our library, please visit the Access and circulation page.
The Science Library provides reserve services for the departments of Applied Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics. For more information about course reserves, please visit the Course reserves page.
All visitors can visit Stanford Libraries for seven days a year at no cost but are not eligible for reference assistance. You must register at the circulation desk. When you register, you will be asked to present a physical and valid government-issued photo ID.

Users with limited mobility
The Science Library is located on the third and fourth floors of the Sapp Center for Science Teaching and Learning (formerly known as Old Chemistry) and is accessible to persons with disabilities. A step-free entrance to the library, located on the third floor, is via the elevator at the southwest corner of the building. The only step-free access to the upper floor of the library (fourth floor) is via the elevator (card-reader access required at all times). A guest access card can be provided as needed from the circulation desk during hours of operation. For individuals needing ongoing step-free access, please contact email@example.com.
Please ask at the circulation desk for help in getting materials located on upper/lower shelves. If you will need staff help, please contact the Science Library in advance by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (650) 723-1528.
