About
The East Asia Library, Stanford’s primary Asian studies collection, holds over 680,000 volumes in the social sciences and humanities for all historical periods in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean languages. With access to more than 800,000 volumes of online books and journals, EAL collections also consist of special collections, government documents, media, and periodicals.

Access
The East Asia Library is located on the 4th floor of the Meyer Library building. Access to the library is via elevator only, and the EAL collections in the mezzanine level of the building are accessible only from the elevator on the 4th floor.
Accessibility
The EAL reading room is accessible to people with limited mobility. Ask at the circulation desk for help in getting items located on upper/lower shelves; the EAL mezzanine is partially accessible to people with limited mobility. If staff assistance is needed, please call the circulation desk (650-725-3435).
Location
The East Asia Library is located on the 4th floor of the Meyer Library building, 560 Escondido Mall, just east of the clock tower and behind Green Library.
Transit and parking
Marguerite lines V, C, X and Y stopping along Serra Mall. Visitor parking is available in Parking Structure 6 (PS6) and metered parking is available along Serra St. in front of Encina Hall. Approximately 5 minutes to walk to EAL from parking.
