We are very pleased to announce that Dr. Jidong Yang has joined the Stanford University Libraries as Head of the East Asia Library (EAL). His leadership experience, scholarly expertise, and deep understanding of the role of academic libraries in teaching and research will surely lead the growth of the EAL in the years to come.

I am pleased to announce that Tim Noakes is the new Public Services Manager for Special Collections & University Archives starting May 6, 2013. Tim has replaced Polly Armstrong who retired last month.
