Standards
The Engineering Library licenses full-text online standards from several organizations including:
- ASTM ASTM Digital Library Follow the My Standards link Full-text access to the 12,000+ ASTM standards collection.
- IEEE IEEE Xplore Full text access to IEEE and IEE standards covering electrical and computer engineering, electronics, computer science and physics.
Also includes access to IEEE draft standards.
- ITU-T ITU-T is the leading publisher of telecommunication technology, regulatory and standard information. Anyone with Internet access will be able to download any of over 3000 ITU-T Recommendations.
The Engineering Library owns standards in print (not online) from several organizations
including:
- ACI: ACI Manual of Concrete Practice Reference TA439 .A24
- ICC: International Building Code Reference KF5701 .A39 I5 2003
- SAE: SAE Handbook Reference TL151 .S2 (CD-ROM editon most current)
To find standards owned by the Stanford Libraries, search Socrates
for the name of the standard issuing organization. Note: Most standards are not catalogued individually.

- ETSI Standards (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) - Note: Registration is required.
Standards not owned by the Stanford Libraries can be purchased
from some of the sources listed below. Occasionally we may be able
to obtain them through interlibrary loan for Stanford faculty, students,
and staff.
