Katie Frey

The Research Data Services Division at Stanford Libraries is pleased to announce that Katie Frey has joined us as our new Data Curator for Programmatic Access. Katie began at Stanford Libraries on August 5th, 2024. She is located in Room 120B of Green Library. Katie holds Master's Degrees in both Library and Information Science (University of Pittsburgh) and Digital Media Design (Harvard University, Extension School). She also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Astronomy from San Diego State University.

Katie comes to us from the Boston area, where she most recently worked as the Assistant Head and Digital Technologies Development Librarian at the Center for Astrophysics - Harvard & Smithsonian. She was recently awarded a grant from UCLA to develop an open science lesson plan for NASA's Science Explorer.

Katie lives in Redwood City with her husband and 3 cats, Luna, Nebula, and Nova. Please join us in welcoming Katie to Stanford, we are very excited to have her on board.
