Stanford University Libraries welcomes Maricela Abarca

The Research Data Services Division at Stanford University Libraries is pleased to announce that Maricela Abarca has joined us as the Data Curator for Interdisciplinary Sustainability. Maricela began working at Stanford Libraries last month. Her office is located in Branner Earth Sciences Library, room 212.
Maricela holds a Master's Degree in Data Science from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor's Degree in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley. A Bay Area native, Maricela has worked at the California Academy of Sciences as a Curatorial Assistant, a Data Science Research Assistant, and a Data Science Intern. Prior to joining Stanford, she was awarded a travel grant to present at a conference on biodiversity information standards in Okinawa, Japan.
