About the Asian American Studies collections

Stanford Libraries collect widely in Asian American studies, acquiring materials in all formats to support teaching and research in this field at Stanford, as well as providing reference services and bibliographic instruction to students and faculty in the Asian American Studies Program and allied disciplines.

In the Department of Special Collections, Stanford University Archives actively partner with the Asian American Research Center at Stanford to document Asian American research, programming, and student life and activism at Stanford. Special Collections also works closely with the Cantor Museum, the Department of Art & Art History, and the Bowes Art & Architecture Library to collect materials relating to the Asian American Art Initiative.
