MLK Day Holiday Closure

Stanford University Libraries will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Exceptions: The Lathrop Library 24‑Hour Study Space, located on the ground floor of Lathrop Library, facing Memorial Auditorium, remains open to Stanford ID holders. The Lane Medical Library, located at 300 Pasteur Drive (room L109) is also open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

While we are closed:

  • Visit Stanford MLK Day to watch or listen to Dr. King’s historic 1967 Stanford speech, learn about the King Papers collection, or register for the Fireside Chat with Professors Lerone A. Martin, Francis A. Pearman, and Maisha T. Winn on January 21, 2026.
