Silicon Valley Archives travel and talk program
About the travel and talk program
The travel and talk program is a pilot program supported by the Silicon Valley Archives to encourage awareness of the rich collections gathered by Stanford University Libraries over the past forty years in the history of Silicon Valley and to facilitate discussion and use. This pilot program will accept applications twice a year and will initially run for academic years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027. As part of the program, short-term visitors will explore relevant Silicon Valley Archives collections and offer a brief talk to the Silicon Valley Archives community followed by Q&A.
Deadline
The application deadlines are as follows:
- October 1, 2025
- March 1, 2026
- September 1, 2026
- March 1, 2027
Funding amount
We anticipate providing up to $2,000 to defray travel costs, which we expect will cover some though not all expenses incurred. Early career scholars are particularly encouraged to apply.
Application procedures
The required application materials are as follows:
- A précis, no more than one page, describing your research
- An annotated list of relevant collections
