UC and Ivy Plus privileges (reciprocal borrowing)

Borrow from our library partners

Borrow materials on-site at University of California, Berkeley, and University of Texas at Austin through the Research Library Cooperative Program (RLCP).

Open a UC Berkeley Library account by contacting Berkeley privileges or apply for a UT Austin RLCP account by emailing the UT Austin circulation office prior to physically visiting the location.

Who is eligible for RLCP

Stanford faculty, graduate students, and academic staff with a Stanford ID.

What to expect 

  • Visit UC Berkeley and UT Austin to check out items on-site.

  • Renew UC Berkeley and UT Austin items online using your respective library account.

  • Return UC Berkeley books to any UC Berkeley book drop or to Stanford's Green Library book drops at least four days before the due date to ensure materials are returned to Berkeley on time.

  • Return UT Austin books to any UT Austin library branch or book drop.

  • Check out materials on-site at the thirteen Borrow Direct partner institutions through BorrowDirect Plus. Visit the Ivy Plus website to view a complete list of our partners

  • Available to Stanford faculty, students, and staff with a Stanford ID.

  • You may be required to log into your Stanford My Library Account to demonstrate your active Stanford affiliation.  

  • You may need to present your University ID Card and/or a valid government-issued ID card at the library you are visiting.
