About the African American Studies collection
Our collection supports interdisciplinary research focused on Black life including social movements, politics, racial ideologies and the distinctive artistic, literary, and cultural experiences of people of African descent in the United States as well as on Stanford's campus. Our material supports scholars in departments and centers across campus including our African and African American Studies (AAAS) faculty and students.
