EndNote Fusion (formerly RefWorks) helps researchers collect and organize information efficiently, supporting reference management, collaboration, and writing.
Create an EndNote Fusion account
To get started, create an account using your Stanford University email address. RefWorks account holders can continue to use their RefWorks login.
Transitioning from RefWorks
In October 2026, RefWorks was renamed EndNote Fusion. EndNote Fusion offers a refreshed interface and new capabilities without disruption to existing RefWorks data, setup, or day-to-day workflows. All existing RefWorks accounts, references, settings, projects, folders, attachments, tags, custom citation styles, and sharing permissions transferred automatically. RefWorks Citation Manager (RCM) is expected to continue to work seamlessly with EndNote Fusion. Future add-in downloads will be rebranded as EndNote Fusion for Word or EndNote Fusion for Google Docs. M365 add-ins are available from UIT after formal review. (EndNote Fusion add-in is submitted for review.)
