Service and support animals

Stanford University restricts pets and support animals, with the exception of service animals, from many public spaces on campus. Please adhere to Stanford’s Service Animal Guidelines while visiting the Libraries. Keep the animal under your control and on a leash/harness, unless performing a task. Please don’t disturb other library users. Some Library spaces, such as Special Collections, may require advanced preparation for service animal visits, so please alert library staff as soon as possible before your visit.

Questions or comments about this policy, including the difference between a service animal and support animal, may be directed to the Stanford University Diversity & Access Office via email or by phone (650) 725-0326.
